Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her position as the Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she's responsible to cover everything ranging from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the advent and growth of tourism to space. Kristin was born into the field of space as the granddaughter and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she has covered space policies under Biden and Trump administrations for FOX News. During that time, she also reported on two impeachment proceedings for President Trump and the presdiential 2020 campaign, as well as two attempts by the administration to stop the spread of coronavirus. Additionally, she went on numerous journeys with the President and Vice President as well as a secret visit to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump.
